Abortion or 'choice'

For you created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from You
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
Your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in Your book
before one of them came to be.
Psalm 139:13-16

I dont think abortion is right. Im not for it at all.
But i also do feel for the ladies who have the abortion. Im never really sure, wether people are aiming the protest against the Women out there, or the abortions clinics.
The women always get effected by the protesting in my opinion. I always try and think about myself in other peoples shoes, so i can at least think about their perspective. Its not right to judge, but people judge the women who have had abortions. Saying they're murderers and such, thinking that those women are cold hearted.
Do people think it would be easy to have an abortion? Im sure the women suffers aswell. No her life has not been taken, but im sure it will emotionally shatter her, and she'd be living with the guilt the rest of her life.

Maybe a comment you wernt expecting. Maybe a bit random? lol
I've just heard people chatter about this a bit. I just dont like it when people judge, even more so when they dont understand someone else situation.

Just getting it off my chest =P

I had a huge discussion a few weeks back at a young adults Bible study were we were broken up into two debating teams - one for and one against abortion - it's not easy.
I usually am very clear cut on my stances of things - this one I understand there are individual stories and big things behind them - so I understand you have to take each 'case' individually.
In saying that - I still believe live is a gift and we should allow everyone to experience it and not rob them of it.

I am neither for or against.
I would not because I believe that is God's will. HOWEVER, when another makes the choice, remember that it is God who gave us free will and only God can judge.

Here's some questions for you Simon. Do you believe in a literal hell of eternal torment and suffering? I would think, given what I have read on here on the past, that you answer is yes. Do you believe that young children who die before reaching an 'age of understanding' (whatever that actually means) go to heaven and not hell? I am guessing your answer to this is yes as well. Do you believe an unborn child has a soul, and if they die either by abortion or medical reasons they also go to heaven? I will again assume your answer is yes.

So if my assumptions of your answers is correct, you believe that an aborted baby is guaranteed a place in heaven. Yet if that child lives past that 'age of understanding' and does not become a Christian then they are going to hell forever. So on that basis, perhaps you should support abortion because of it's 100% success rate in getting people to heaven, rather than having children be born and risk having them grow up and go to hell.

Now I am in no way advocating or supporting abortion, rather pointing out one of the problems with the idea of an eternal hell. Because if it's real, then logically abortion and infanticide are the most compassionate things we could do.

Think about it and let me know your thoughts.
