Foolishness?

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those WHO ARE PERISHING, but to those who are being saved it is the power of God"

1 Corinthians 1:18

Is that you above - is the cross foolishness?? How I pity you - how do you feel knowing that if you died now you would be awaiting pain for all eternity!

How does that make you feel? Not necessarily in flames as traditionally portrayed but with things like sulphur burning in your bones, people without mercy ripping off your skin, people without law skewering you with hot metal and you can't die any more - you cant run or hide - you just have to put up with it - FOREVER!!

Have you ever made fun of a Christian? Why? Do you think it's foolish what they believe? Read the verse above again! Do you think it's foolish what they believe I ask again? If you answered yes - then how do you feel?

THERE IS A WAY OUT!!

Have you heard of John 3:16 - say it to yourself! Do you know the verses that come after it? Verse 17 & 18 says;

"For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to SAVE the world through Him. Whoever believes in in Him is NOT CONDEMNED
but whoever DOES NOT believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the Name of God's one and only Son"

Hallelujah! It's Jesus or Hell! Believe it!

Spiritual Gifts - Deliverance

At our youth meetings 'Generation' @ Glenroy, we have our Spiritual gifts night on the fourth Sunday nights of the month. This month we looked at Hospitality and Deliverance.

My brother Sean, talked to us about the gift of deliverance and one of the points he said was that - the function of exorcism and deliverance is a Christian responsibility. Did you notice that - a Christian RESPONSIBILITY! Jesus cast out many demons and He gave Christians the authority to do the same.
He went on to give us a reading from Mark 16:17 "And these signs shall follow them that believe; in My Name shall they cast out devils."
Christian deliverance means God rescuing someone from bondage, oppression, hardships or domination by evil. This is our responsibility - there are many hurting people out there crying out for OUR help! Jesus told us in Acts 1:8a "but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you" - lets not keep it to ourselves in vain!

We are surrounded by spiritual warfare daily if we are truly serving Jesus. Never forget to put on the armour of God. If you don't know how to protect yourselves read Ephesisans 6:10-18. This is essential for us Soldiers and Officers fighting for the souls of those who have wandered from the pathway to heaven or have been diverted by the deceiver.

I'll fight - how 'bout you?

It's Jesus or Hell - tell your friends that today!

The banquet

Tish and myself decided to have a 'party' tonight to celebrate Tish's full time employment and my trip to Rwanda just for an excuse to invite most of our friends round for a good time together.

We didn't hear any replies back except for one and also that another 3 people might possibly make it - but never got back to us. In the end 3 people turned up from a large number that were invited.

In Luke 14:15-24 talks about a great banquet, where a certain man was preparing for the banquet and invited many guests but they all ended up having different excuses and none of them turned up. This man decided to go out and invite people off the streets and in the alley ways and anyone else that could be found.

It reminded me of tonight!

I felt like going out to the streets and eating all this food that Tish spent many hours cooking with the people sleeping on the streets - people that would appreciate it (nothing against Tish's cooking please note!).

I have noticed that 'the way' of today lacks courtesy and manners - no replies, just rock up if you can be bothered and places no value of importance on anything really - this attitude is spilling over into our worship of God! Christians are taking the ways of the world into the church, it should be the other way - we should be taking the ways of the church into the world. That consists of things such as dedication, devotion, discipline, determination, reliability and most importantly - integrity. Even church attendance is reflecive of these things.

Time to lift the game disciples of Jesus - soldiers of the cross! God made us in His image - now lets repay Him and become like Him!

Lets not make excuses and miss the Great Banquet - finish the race and finish it well. Work towards Holiness and be like Jesus as much as we can possibly be.

Glory to God!

"And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple....He who has ears, let him hear"
Luke 15:27,35b

What now!!

What a couple of weeks it's been financially with my car!

Two weeks ago I had to spend nearly $2000 on everything to do with my radiator, like the water pump, pipes, thermostat etc and the next day (after 4 working days in the garage) once I got it back there was more green coolant leaking! So where had all that money gone and towards what?

Anyway, I finally had a day off to take it back to ask what was going on and I get a phone call back saying now my radiator is cracked, which for my car will be around $1000 to replace!!! How can this be? I just paid them 2 grand to fix this problem in the first place, now they want to charge me more, $3000 total - how can I afford this? I'm trying to save for my trip to Rwanda!!

At first God told me to trust Him, and so I was coping with that even though that was most of the money I had saved for my trip to Rwanda, but now after this it's cost me basically the whole trip.

I think I'm feeling a bit (maybe very) depressed right now. Where to from here, do I really need to trust Him more in everything or is God telling me He doesn't want me going to Rwanda after all- which is the correct message?

I was just praying and God gave me Philippians 3:11-13, it says

"so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead! I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing; Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead"
That means a few things to me, (slightly out of context from the passage - but by itself it is a message to me). Firstly, I need to keep striving for Holiness, secondly, don't worry about this speed hump, but keep looking forward to what He will use me for in Africa and then finally an answer to prayer... resurrection from the dead! It's something I've been praying for years about to witness, especially what I've envisioned in Africa, God doing amazing miracles through me like healings and even raising the dead!
It's funny by just reading those 3 verses how it ties together everything for this trip for me - keep looking ahead and strive for Holiness and God will get the glory!
Hallelujah!

Confirmation!?

It's interesting how things happen. I was very interested in how readers would react to my previous post. I know many people are very detached from the Spiritual realm, even many Christians don't get it or even understand it!

Yesterday, Dad brought home an article he read on the Internet which help confirm, in a way, my previous post. Dad has no idea of my blogging and Dad would be one of the last people I'd guess to confirm something like this for me.

The article was about Saudi Arabia and it went on to say that the country have banned all religious items, apart from that of Islam, from entering into their 'kingdom'. These items include Bibles, crucifixes and the Star of David to name some! Saudi Arabia is in the Middle East - the heart of where I previously stated that I discerned was the heart of Satan domain. Does this help confirm this insight?

How can a country refuse entry to the Word of God except if it were controlled by Satan himself. Why would you ban crucifixes also? You would only ban entry to these things if you were afraid of their power! I think it's funny also how they call it a 'kingdom', isn't that something Satan always wanted to have of his own??

If I could just ask all who are reading this blog, please be praying for the Light to enter back into this 'kingdom' of darkness, a Muslim country banning the Word of God, the book of Life. I just pray that the Blood of Jesus is painted onto every gate and entry into this country for the sake of their souls!

God be the solution!

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)

Australia for Jesus!

Hi all,

I'm going to write something that may seem way out there but this was a revelation to me the other day through my gift of discernment, or possibly even through the gift of prophecy, so stick with me for a minute....
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree - when Satan fell from the 'vine' or heaven, he didn't fall far from the garden of Eden, he's still based his dwelling place around Iraq and the Middle East, but my discernment also told me he had been making tracks around and down to parts of northern Africa also.

Still with me?

Satan has been spending basically all his time and efforts in these area's. Sure Satan has his workers all over the place, but here we go, the last time Satan himself came to Australia was almost a couple of hundred years ago when we were first getting settled, he was down around Port Arthur and a few other places around southern Victoria around to the bottom of NSW (but not as far north as Sydney) and the south-eastern border of South Australia, and he hasn't been back personally since!!

Any other discerners able to confirm or deny this??? Please let me know!
If this is the case, we as disciples of God should be taking great advantage of this - our work is basically unhindered here by the opposition - sure a few minor little reject angels here and there, but we should be going full steam ahead!! The Name of Jesus will be lifted high! Australia for Jesus.... 'cos Jesus is for Australia!
This is the Great Southland of the Holy Spirit, a great land of spiritual freedom - come on followers of Christ - take up the baton and run with it, and make sure you pass it on!!

God is here

Do you look right? Are you right??

I've been playing in a basketball team on Monday nights, first time in a long time. I've got all the right equipment, I've got the rip off pants, great basketball shoes - nice and white, the warm up top, the basketball to play with and a really nice bag to carry all my equipment in.

Once I get on the court, I can't play, I'm unfit at the moment - I don't do any training during the week and I'm not really a natural athlete anyway!! If you saw me before the game, you might be fooled into thinking I'm a good player (maybe!?) because I'm 6 foot 4 and have been told that it can be intimidating - but looks can be deceiving!!

How many people are like this in the church? We wear the right clothes, look alright on 'game day', but don't do any 'training' during the week.

Any how, even though I can't play basketball very well, I'm helping out for the outreach side of James' ministry. We're still waiting for our first win, and I pray that I get more of the white line fever in my life with God!!
